Passport Advice

Passports and Visas
Passengers arriving, or seeking to arrive, in the UK who are unable to produce evidence of their identity and nationality will be subject to delays while verification checks are made by UK Border Agency Officers. It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid travel document before starting their journey. Eurostar cannot offer advice regarding passport validity or visa requirements.

Do I need a passport or identity card to travel?
All passengers, including infants, are required to have either their own valid passport. (or national identity card for French and Belgium passengers)

Do children need their own passports?
All children are required to be in possession or either a valid passport. (or national identity card for French and Belgium passengers)

My passport is in my maiden name. Will I still be able to travel?
Although this should not normally cause any difficulties, please take a copy of your marriage certificate with you when you travel.

Lost UK passport?
If you are a UK passport holder and you loose your passport abroad, you must report the loss or theft of your passport as soon as possible to the local police and the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) or Embassy or High Commission of the country you are in. You can obtain details of a local FCO by calling +44 20 7008 1500 (0845 850 2829 within the UK) or by visiting the FCO website, http://www.fco.gov.uk/
