Get home or away in record time with our high-speed trains and catch up on everything you missed in the air with free Wifi on board.

More luggage
Eurostar’s generous luggage allowance allows you to bring up to three suitcases and one piece of hand luggage on the train (unfortunately our friends in the air aren’t always as generous, so please check your flight details to avoid disappointment).
Frequently asked questions about AirRail
For any changes in your trip, please contact your airline or travel agency.
1. On the day of the journey
1.1 If you are travelling to the airport
We never want you to miss a connection and that’s why AirRail has been designed to allow adequate travel time between the station platform and the airport boarding gate. This takes into account possible minor train delays (less than 40 minutes for flights within Europe, and less than 90 minutes for flights outside of Europe).
If the unexpected happens and your scheduled train is severely delayed or cancelled, collect your ticket and travel on the next available Eurostar train to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. If there is no available Eurostar train to the airport within a reasonable time, please contact your airline.
1.2 If you are travelling from the airport
Once you’ve collected your ticket you have the flexibility to travel on another Eurostar train. If there are no more Eurostar trains to your destination on your day of travel, please contact Eurostar Customer Service so we can help get you home safely as soon as possible.
2. Am I entitled to compensation for any delays?
2.1 I’m travelling to the airport
If your train arrives at the airport later than scheduled but you are still able to catch your flight, you are not entitled to compensation for the delay.
If you miss your flight because of a delayed Eurostar train, please contact your airline’s customer service department regarding compensation for the interruption to your journey.
2.2 I’m leaving the airport
In accordance with the PRR (Passenger Rights Regulation), if your arrival in Brussels-Midi or Antwerp-Central is delayed by 60 minutes or more, you are entitled to compensation.
The compensation is calculated according to the length of the delay:
- 25% of the value of your train ticket for a delay of 60 minutes or more.
- 50% of the value of your ticket for a delay of 120 minutes or more.
Please contact the customer service department of your airline as soon as possible.
If your request concerns a journey from Brussels-Midi or Antwerp-Central station to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, please contact the airline’s customer service centre.
If your compensation request concerns a journey from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Brussels-Midi or Antwerp-Central station, please submit a compensation request through our request form or contact Eurostar Customer Service.
Yes, you just need to request a refund via your point of sale (airline or travel agency).
We get it, luggage restrictions are a pain. That’s why your AirRail ticket allows you to take up to three suitcases and one piece of hand luggage on Eurostar trains. However, your airline might not be so generous – please check the conditions of your flight ticket before setting off.
Eurostar accepts no responsibility in the event of theft, loss, or damage to your luggage during your train journey and you are solely responsible for the transport of your luggage between the train station and the airport.
If your luggage exceeds the AirRail allowance, the Train Manager may charge you €30 per piece of additional luggage or refuse to allow the excess luggage on board the train.
