Website accessibility
Our commitment
Eurostar is committed to providing an accessible website. In simple terms, we aim to ensure that our website displays correctly and that key functions work on any browser that has a minimum 2% usage (as per the UK Government's guidelines). This doesn't mean that our website will be pixel perfect for everyone, however, our aim is that all users can access and use critical information and features on our website, regardless of the internet browser they use. We also aim to ensure that our website is usable by those who interact with it using popular assistive technologies (such as screen-readers), even if those users account for less than the prescribed minimum 2% of the visitors to our site.
Our work to ensure our website is accessible is ongoing and involves regular checks and tests against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 and the relevant recommendations of the British Standard for Web Accessibility, BS 8878:2010.
Making our website accessible
We are working towards supporting the adjusting of settings in most browsers and operating systems to make our site easier to use, for example:
- changing the size and colour of the text displayed throughout the site;
- navigating most of the website using only keyboard controls;
- magnifying the screen;
- listening to audio commentary of most of the website when using a screen reader.
AbilityNet provides comprehensive advice on how to adjust these settings in different browsers to improve your experience:
Using our website
We regularly test our website and important changes we make to it on the main operating systems (such as Microsoft Windows and Apple mac OS/iOS) and devices (such as desktops, laptops and mobile devices).
We recommend you use the latest versions of these browsers for the best experience:
- Google Chrome
- Safari
- Microsoft Edge
- Firefox
- Samsung or Android mobile browsers
Our website should also be compatible with the latest versions of most leading screen readers.
We welcome your feedback
This is an ongoing process, so while we've made a great deal of progress, we still have some work to do. We are working towards having a fully accessible site in the future and will keep you informed about our progress.
If you experience any problems accessing www.eurostar.com or wish to report any difficulties you encounter, please contact us.
