Terms and conditions on upgrade
1. If you hold a valid Standard class ticket for a Eurostar train operated by Eurostar International Limited, you may be invited to submit a bid for an upgrade to Standard Premier/Plus via the dedicated upgrade page, any time up to 24 hours before your scheduled departure date (“Bid”).
2. Upgrades are permitted on Eurostar London Routes Services (i.e., routes to/from London St Pancras International and routes between Lille Europe and Brussels-Midi) from Standard to Standard Premier/Plus only.
3. The required minimum and maximum bid may vary depending on your scheduled departure date and time. The amount that you bid is per person and is in addition to your original ticket fare (“Ticket”).
4. When placing your Bid, you will be asked to enter your payment details. Once you have submitted your Bid, you will receive an email confirming that your Bid has been received.
5. You can amend or cancel your Bid any time up until it is accepted or rejected by Eurostar.
6. You will be notified by e-mail at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure date if your Bid has been accepted or not.
7. If your Bid has been accepted and payment has successfully been received, your booking will be automatically upgraded, and you will be notified by e-mail. From the moment your Bid is accepted, the bid amount paid is final and you have no right of withdrawal.
8. If your Bid has not been accepted, you will not be charged the amount of the Bid and you will keep your original ticket.
9. If your Bid has been accepted but payment has been rejected, you will lose your upgrade and Eurostar will be entitled to allocate it to the next successful bidder.
10. The availability of upgrades is limited and is made at the sole discretion of Eurostar. Availability can vary from the time you submit your Bid up until your scheduled departure date and so it is not guaranteed.
11. The acceptance of your Bid by Eurostar (subject to the availability of upgrades) will depend on the amount each bidder has bid, and the time each bid was placed.
12. Eurostar cannot guarantee specific coach or seat number assignments to passengers who receive an upgrade. Your new seat will depend on space availability.
13. Eurostar reserves the right to accept, reject and/or withdraw any Bid at its sole discretion.
14. If you cancel or change your train, the bid amount paid for the upgrade is non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Your upgrade cannot be transferred to another passenger.
15. Your Ticket (excluding the bid amount) will remain exchangeable and refundable according to the Eurostar’s aftersales conditions available at: https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/travel-info/travel-planning/eurostar-fares-and-fees.
16. If your train is cancelled or delayed by more than 60 minutes, Eurostar’s standard refunds and compensation for delays and cancellations policy applies. This is available at: https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/travel-info/service-information/claiming-compensation. In such cases, the total price of your ticket (original fare + bid amount) will be taken into consideration.
17. If you are a Club Eurostar member, you will not earn reward points or status points on the bid amount. Reward tickets are not eligible for upgrade.
18. Eurostar Conditions of Carriage apply to all journeys taken on Eurostar trains. These are available at: https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/conditions-carriage.
19. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the Conditions of Carriage, then the Conditions of Carriage will take precedence.
20. Eurostar reserves the right to cancel this offer or change these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
